Butternut Mountain Farm’s home farm was selected as one of 15 conserved Vermont properties to be featured in the Vermont Land Trust’s Eyes on Land exhibition at Shelburne Museum. The project explores how our landscape can be viewed and experienced through a variety of artistic lenses. In their announcement of the project the Vermont Land Trust notes:
“One year ago, artists were paired with lands by the Vermont Land Trust. Now, from that pairing comes a full harvest of artworks in a variety of styles and techniques. Each work is a ‘visual essay’ that explores the artist’s personal responses to these protected places.”
The Butternut Mountain Farm portion of the project was also captured in a short video - if you're interested in seeing how Caleb Kenna captured those beautiful photos or hearing about more about conservation at Butternut Mountain Farm. This brief video tells that story.
The exhibit runs from October 3rd to January 3rd at the Shelburne Museum. To learn more visit eyesontheland.org.
