What’s not to love? These bars are made with whole wheat flour and sweetened with pure maple sugar — a treat you can feel good about!

  • 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour​
  • 1 cup granulated maple sugar​
  • Pinch of salt​
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda​
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons powdered ginger​
  • 3/4 cups unsalted butter​
  • 1 1/2 cups oats​
  • 1 1/2 cups pear ginger jam​


  1. Heat overn to 350°F.
  2. Place the flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, powdered ginger and butter in a food processor and pulse to combine.
  3. Add oats. Pulse to incorporate.
  4. Press about two thirds of the dough into a 9×13 greased baking pan.
  5. Spread the pear ginger jam over the dough.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cool completely and cut into 24 bars.
