Chia, like maple syrup, is super food in an unexpected package. Chia seeds come from a flowering plant in the mint family that’s native to Mexico and Guatemala. It’s recently been rediscovered as a healthful food. Their tiny white or black seeds offer calcium, manganese, and phosphorus, and is a great source of omega-3 fats.
