This easy-to-achieve maple yogurt lemon poppyseed loaf will satisfy any craving you get for something sweet at any time of the day. Breakfast, second breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, or post-dinner delight, a slice of this loaf layered with a dollop of yogurt fits right into the schedule. We only use pure maple syrup to sweeten this loaf and it results in a soft, delectable, sweet treat.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour​
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda​
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder​
  • 1 teaspoon salt​
  • 2 tablespoons poppyseeds​
  • 2 large eggs​
  • 3/4 cups Dark Robust Maple Syrup​
  • Zest from 1 lemon​
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice​
  • 1 cup maple yogurt, plus more for serving​
  • 3/4 cups vegetable oil, plus more for brushing pan​
  • Granulated maple sugar, for sprinkling​


  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and poppyseeds.
  3. In a large bowl whisk the eggs and maple syrup together until they’re blended. Whisk in the lemon zest, lemon juice and maple yogurt until incorporated. While whisking constantly, pour in the vegetable oil in a steady stream.
  4. Pour the flour mixture into the liquids and stir it all together until few lumps remain.
  5. Brush a loaf pan with vegetable oil and fit it with parchment paper. Pour in the batter and sprinkle the top with maple sugar.
  6. Bake for 55-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bread to cool before eating! Serve with a dollop of maple yogurt, if desired.
